RPP – Respiratory Pathogen Panel

Molecular testing utilizes qualitative PCR results to identify DNA from respiratory viruses and bacteria extracted from nasopharyngeal swabs from individuals with clinical sign and symptoms of a respiratory tract infection. PCR technology is used to amplify small quantities of pathogen nucleic acid into levels that are measurable for accurate and rapid results.
